I’m a proud board member of Corner To Corner, a Nashville-based nonprofit organization that provides access to education and opportunities for underserved communities. Corner to Corner just launched Academy Invested – a small startup loan option for graduates of their 10-week entrepreneur course, The Academy. In addition to providing small business owners with funds to take the next step in their business, Corner to Corner aims to ensure that minority entrepreneurs are equipped with financial literacy that will allow their businesses to continue to grow. They want to pair each loan recipient with a mentor who will meet with the graduate once a month to discuss their financial goals and how to achieve them. Click here if you’re interested in learning more about mentoring small business owners. Note: A 6-month commitment is required, and mentors do not need to have a business background.
